Three by-elections are to take place on the 5 September 2024

The nominated candidates for the three upcoming by-elections in Camden have been announced.

The by-elections are to take place on 5 September 2024.

The candidates for Camden Square, Kentish Town South and Kilburn wards, are, respectively and in alphabetical order, by surname:

Camden Square ward:

Esmeralda Akpoke, Local Conservatives
James Dicker, Green party
Ali Farah, Independent
Tricia Leman, Liberal Democrats
Alexander Matthews, Labour party
Jasper Warwick, Independent 

Kentish Town South ward:

Joseph Ball, Labour party
Alice Brown, Green party,
Tara Copeland, Liberal Democrats
Muhammad Abu Naser, Independent
Shajib Ziffer, Local Conservatives

Kilburn ward:

David Elkan, Liberal Democrats
Peter Hornsby, Local Conservatives
Robert Thompson, Labour party
Michael Vieira, Green party

Residents of all wards have until Monday 19 August to register to vote.

Voters will need to show photo ID when voting in person in this by-election.

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on 19 August 2024. Applications can be made online: Register to vote.

Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Camden Town Hall, Judd Hall, London WC1H 9JE by 5pm on 20 August 2024. Applications can be made online: Apply for a postal vote.

Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on 28 August 2024.

Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online: Apply for photo ID to vote (called a ‘Voter Authority Certificate’).

Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Camden Town Hall, Judd Hall, London WC1H 9JE 5pm on 28 August 2024.

Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Camden Town Hall, Judd Hall, London WC1H 9JE by 5pm on 5 September 2024.
